D’Iberville Powerball Ticket Wins $50,000 as Jackpot Climbs to $635 Million
Mississippi Sees 12 Big Powerball Wins Totaling $1.7M Since July 1
FLOWOOD, Miss. – A Powerball player in D’Iberville is $50,000 richer after a ticket purchased at Walmart Neighborhood Market matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball in Monday night’s drawing.
The ticket holder came close to an even bigger prize. With the $1 Power Play add-on, the $50,000 prize would have multiplied to $200,000.
The latest win marks the 12th big Powerball win in Mississippi since the start of the current fiscal year, bringing the total in prizes from these wins to $1.7 million.
While no ticket matched all the numbers to win Monday night’s jackpot, the prize continues to grow. The estimated Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, Oct. 21, is now $635 million, with an estimated cash value of $267.5 million.
With hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, the next drawing offers another chance for players to imagine what a life-changing win could mean.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, and players may add Power Play for an additional $1 per play to multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes or Double Play to give their numbers a shot at a second drawing with a jackpot of $10 million.
